 Dear my luvly wife, The was is now over for the love of God and our nation. Just as Lincoln predicted in his Second Inaugural Address that the war was winding down to a Union Victory, and that he wants to have the Union restored with Confederate states as possiblu.  Richmond, Virginia has fallen and burned to da Union and burned on April 2, 1865. And four days after it, the last battle ov da war occured at Saylor's Creek, and was only a brief one-day engagement was a Union Victory. In da wake of the battle, some 8,000 Confederates surrendered. Roughly one-third of Lee's army ,this is huge of the number of soldiers who surrendered. Finally, on April 9, 1865, General Lee finally surrendered to da Union at Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia. The terms of da surrendered were pretty generous: 25,000 rations, soldiers can keep their own things, however, all Confederate issued items and battle flags had to be turned over and keep a promise of not to fight . Dear Pops, As you probably hurd, ol´ Lincoln took his oath for a second term in office . Looks like he´s extending an olive branch out to dem stinkin´ rebs . Guess we´ll see how that works out. Sounds like he´s pretty confedent that this war is gonna end in a union victory . Finnaly! I thought this bloody war was never gonna end! Then there was the battle at Saylor´s Creek . Lee was retreatin´ and we had outnumbered ´im bad . Hurd that bout one third of Lee´s whole army had to surender! Almost had to feel bad for the ol´ man, I mean, my god! His whole army was dissolving ! But our troops held strong and we surronded dem rebs. Nutin´ left to do then for ol´ Lee but surender. He´d be an insane fool if he didn´t! He and General grant met in this ol´ house to negosiate the terms of surender.            Dear my lovely wif Elizabeth,    My three- year enlistment for the war was over , but despite how much i love you and want to see our family back again, i'm sorry that i will be reenlisting to join the Union army again. I know that this is a very hard choice, however, you know that i am very religious , and i think God have chosen me to fight fir da sake of our countryy. There was a lot of bad news in the beginning of the year. 137,000 soldiers reenlisted to the Union but a drastic amount of 100,000 soldiers went back home to unite with their famili. This caused us to spread our troops thinly across da country to defend the towns and cities.      Also, the public opinion is turning agaisnt da old man Lincoln. I feel bad to be him, and then now the Confederates want to negotiate for peace with da president if this keeps continuing.
